Loft Insulation

Why insulate your loft space?

Up to 25% of the heat produced in your home is lost through your roof if the loft is not insulated. Loft insulation is a very effective way to reduce your fuel bills since it acts as a blanket trapping heat rising from the living space below, and can save you on average £110 off your annual fuel bill.

You are likely to be losing a third of your heating costs through your roof if your loft is insufficiently insulated. By simply insulating your loft to the recommended depth of 270mm you can save wasted energy and money.

A standard loft insulation installation comprises not only of the fitting of the loft insulation, but also the bringing up to Building Regulations standards, the lagging to the cold water tanks and the pipes - at no additional cost, which means that there is no possibility of any pipes or tanks bursting during cold weather. Your loft hatch will also be draught proofed and insulated where possible.

Technical info

The current recommended standard requires 270mm (approx 11 inches) of loft insulation. You are eligible for an insulation grant if your home has 80mm (just over 3 inches) or less of existing insulation.

Our specially negotiated prices include the lagging of all cold water tanks and pipes in the loft and insulating and draft proofing your loft hatch.

How long will the installation take?

The insulation is quick and simple to install and can usually be completed within a couple of hours.

How do I claim my grant?

Very simple! Call 01444 460110 and we do it for you!

When we survey your property and take your order for the insulation, we give you the claim form to sign - and we do the rest!
