Cavity Wall Insulation
Why is it important to install cavity wall insulation
Well first of all to SAVE YOU LOTS OF MONEY - not only now but year after year - and each time fuel prices go up your savings increase.
More heat is lost through your walls than from anywhere else in your house. The Government regards cavity wall insulation as one of the most effective cost and carbon saving measures that you can carry out on your property - which is why they are encouraging home owners who have unfilled cavity walls to take advantage of the generous range of government grants currently available. These are available to everyone right now! Find out more about cavity wall insulation
Loft Insulation
Up to 25% of the heat produced in your home is lost through your roof if the loft is not insulated. Loft insulation is a very effective way to reduce your fuel bills since it acts as a blanket trapping heat rising from the living space below, and can save you on average £150 off your annual fuel bill.
You are likely to be losing a third of your heating costs through your roof if your loft is insufficiently insulated.
Simply by insulating your loft to the recommended depth of 270mm you can save wasted energy and money. Find out more about loft insulation
Draught Proofing
Where draughts can be felt then this is an indication that heat is escaping unnecessarily. There are numerous ways that your home can lose heat, find out more about draught proofing

Although Home Information Packs have now been withdrawn by the government, Energy Performance Certificates are still required for all properties being marketed for sale. Installing cavity wall insulation and ensuring you have current recommended levels of loft insulation will greatly improve the energy rating of your home and thus much improve its saleability.
