Loft Boarding
Either as part of the insulation process or as a stand alone job Downs Energy can board an area of your loft to provide valuable extra storage area. However since a loft was never designed for storage we don’t recommend the storage of any heavy items and suggest that the boarded area is restricted and situated close to the hatch. Please call us to discuss your requirements.
Loft Ladders
We can supply and fit loft ladders for most situations and will cut new hatches where necessary for access to roof space.
Although Home Information Packs have now been withdrawn by the government, Energy Performance Certificates are still required for all properties being marketed for sale. Installing cavity wall insulation and ensuring you have current recommended levels of loft insulation will greatly improve the energy rating of your home and thus much improve its saleability.
